Top 3 Side Effects of CBD Oil That Should Raise A Few Questions

What are the possible side effects of CBD oil? Can CBD help reduce or eliminate some of the symptoms that help lead to depression and addiction? The answer to these questions depends on the individual case. Some people may not be affected at all by CBD consumption. Others may find that there are far too many problems with CBD for them to use it as a stand alone treatment.

CBD oil side effects are relatively few. Generally, it’s considered to be largely a harmless substance. Pure CBD oil, without THC, generally cannot cause you to become addicted to the drug.

However, CBD can cause some problems for people who take it in high doses. It can cause your body to change the way it reacts to other drugs. This includes taking prescription medications such as Tylenol and/or Motrin. When you take high doses of CBD, you can build up a “high” as your liver enzymes become overwhelmed. These liver enzymes convert the CBD into what is known as the psychoactive substance (CBDergic Acid) which in turn can have negative effects on your body. Common side effects of CBDergic Acid include: difficulty breathing, seizures, depression, mania, hallucinations, and delirium.

Taking CBD in very high doses, such as the above symptoms, can create a serious problem for a person who suffers from bipolar disorder. The above symptoms can be very dangerous and potentially self-defeating, in the event that you are using them to control severe mood swings. A person who has bipolar disease must be carefully monitored when consuming CBD, especially if taking high doses. It’s important to note, however, that even in this instance, the patient must have their doctor order an evaluation for safety, before any treatment with CBD oil is begun. Even then, most likely, it will be found that CBD is not the only thing the patient needs to combat his or her bipolar disorder.

Not all people, who take CBD, well tolerate this, and so there are some side effects noted with high doses of CBD as well. A dry mouth is one such side effect. The reason for this is due to the fact that when you take large doses of CBD, there is a constant lack of saliva, which allows your body to begin filtering out the “cbd” that is actually CBD. Also, you may notice a tingling sensation in your lips or tongue. This is due to the fact that when CBD passes through the blood stream, it can pick up “bad,” or unwanted, tastes from any number of substances present in your system, and so this tingling sensation is designed to keep the person who is taking CBD away from absorbing bad tastes.

There are also a few other potential side effects related to taking CBD oil that should be considered: a mild rash; joint pain; nausea; vomiting; increased heart rate; constipation; insomnia; and even depression. Again, there are scientific studies to consider on this issue, but for the purposes of this article, we’ll stick with the basics. Most scientific studies do show that CBD is safe and, as far as how it works for mood disorders, very effective.
